President Obama's health care law not fulfilling promise
By Michael F. Cannon
The news that health insurance premiums are again rising rapidly is the latest reminder that the law Obama's health care is to produce the opposite of what he promised.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, then-Sen. Obama has promised to reform health care that would lower premiums for the typical family $ 2,500.
This year, the average premium for a family plan of the employer-based rose 5 percent to $ 12 680. Premiums rose 5 percent in 2009 and another 3 percent in 2010.
But the first batch of warrants Obamacare not take effect until the end of 2010, so their impact was not felt until this year. What happened? Premiums increased 9 percent to more than $ 15,000 per family.
These figures are from the Kaiser Family Foundation, which supports Obamacare and estimates of the law is to contribute more than 2 percentage points to this increase. This estimate of impact crushing conceals the law in many households.
Just before the first batch of mandates took effect, the insurers reported Obamacare would increase premiums for some consumers up to 30 percent in 2011.But that was before the Obama administration accused of carrying "disinformation". Yet the truth has a way of walking in the light.
Multiple reports show will worsen further in 2014, when the exemption expires and the law takes full effect.
MIT economist Jonathan Gruber of health projects that six of 10 consumers in the individual market will see their premiums increase Wisconsin by an average of 31 percent. Many will see much larger increases. Gruber is one of the biggest supporters Obamacare, and has been a paid consultant for the Obama administration. Is it now the administration accuses of spreading disinformation?
In Ohio, some consumers in the individual market will see their premiums increase from 55 to 85 percent. Young, healthy men could see their premiums increase from 90 to 130 percent. And some small businesses will see their premiums increase by 150 percent, according to the actuarial consulting firm Milliman, Inc.

Obamacare garners Supreme reaction
U.S. Supreme Court may decide as early as next year if Virginians and citizens to buy health insurance.
The federal government has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear a complaint filed by a coalition led by Florida State 26 and the National Federation of Independent Business, which challenges the constitutionality of the Act on the Protection of patient care and affordable, or CHP.
A panel of three judges of the United States Court of Appeal 11 Circuit dismissed in September for procedural reasons.
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli welcomed the decision to get the right to health and the individual mandate decided as soon as possible.
"Since the beginning of this case, I pushed to get to the Supreme Court as quickly as possible to a resolution," Cuccinelli said. "The question of whether the law will be upheld or not put the republic, its citizens and businesses in limbo for what their future health care costs will be, and that uncertainty is paralyzing any improvement in the economy."
But supporters say the legal battle against the Commonwealth National Health Act is a waste of time and resources.
Senator Linda "Toddy" Puller, D-Fairfax, a member of the Joint Health, said time was running out for lawmakers to create the exchange of health of the state to the Virginians "are able to access affordable health care. "
"If we do not have our own plan at the state level in 2014, while the federal government will do for us," Puller said.
Puller said it supported individual mandate CHP and was one of 17 Democratic senators to vote against health care - a law to deny the impact of the CHP.
The General Assembly adopted the HCFA to prevent the state and the federal government by convincing citizens to have health insurance or pay a penalty.
Bob McDonnell Governor approved the legislation in March 2010, just before the promulgation of CHP.
