Clinton Sunrise Rotary flu shot clinics scheduled

CLINTON — The Clinton Sunrise Rotary Club and Dr. Ronald M. Frank have announced the dates and locations of their expanded Flu Vaccine Clinics this year. To fill the void created by Hunterdon County Health Department’s decision to eliminate their flu clinics additional dates & locations are being offered. Currently, three large clinics are planned for northern Hunterdon County as follows:

Wednesday, Sept. 21, 5 – 7:30 p.m. - Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, 445 County Road 513, Califon

Saturday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. – noon, Clinton Fire Department, 1 New St., Clinton

Thursday, Oct. 6, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Clinton United Methodist Church, 12 Halstead St., Clinton

In addition, Dr. Frank will be holding two additional flu vaccine clinics in Flemington.

Flu vaccines will be available for adults and children 6 months of age and older. This year, a limited number of preservative-free flu vaccines will be offered. Pneumonia vaccines will be available for eligible participants. Questionnaires will be available at the clinics.

No co-pays or deductibles are required for participants with Traditional Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage, Aetna PPO; AmeriHealth PPO; Cigna; HealthNet; Blue Cross Blue Shield//Horizon Products; United Healthcare/Oxford. Additional HMO/Commercial insurances without PCP listing on card may be accepted. Present all insurance cards at the clinic to determine eligibility. For those without insurance or plans that Dr. Frank does not participate with the flu vaccine cost is $20. For additional information call Dr. Frank’s office at 732-356-0266.

As with previous clinics, Dr. Frank will donate a portion of the proceeds from these clinics to the Open Cupboard Food Pantry, Clinton. Nonperishable food donations will be accepted at the clinics. In addition, new this year at the Firehouse clinic on Oct. 6, will be a collection of pet food for AniMeals, a Hunterdon non-profit organization that provides free dog and cat food and kitty litter to those who are disabled, shut-in, or going through financial difficulties.
