The top three reasons panelists said they would most likely visit the store are to get a free consultation with a nutrition coach, get information on proper fitness or attend a free class on cooking healthy, Danielson said. Blue Cross Blue Shield of would be the first health insurer in the state to offer a health and wellness store, she said.
The store would simply be another way in which to have different "conversations and interactions" with members about ways to improve their health, she said. The company may offer health and wellness-focused services as a "value-added" or free benefit to its members but has not many any final determinations as to its potential retail model, Danielson said.
